Jeju United taught newly promoted Daejeon a lesson with five different players scoring for the home side. The result leaves Daejeon rock bottom with no points and a minus eight goal difference. Fellow promotees Gwangju on the other hand have continued their good run that led them to promotion last season. After an exciting first half against Busan finished 2-2, Kim Ho Nam scored in the second half to move Daejeon up to joint top with Jeonbuk and Ulsan, who both drew nil-nil with Incheon and Cheonnam respectively. Pohang showed too much class for FC Seoul who, similarly to their game last week against Jeonbuk, found themselves two goals down before getting a late consolation. Kim Seung Dae scored both the goals for Pohang. Yeom Ki-Hun also scored twice to bring his tally this season to three as Suwon beat local rivals Seongnam by three goals to one. The K-League Challenge also kicked-off this weekend with Anyang and Sangju Sangmu winning strongly. Newly relegated Gyeongnam could only manage a goalless draw against Ansan.
