Jeonbuk saw off the challenge of FC Seoul with some ease on Saturday, eventually winning the match by three goals to nil. Veteran Lee Dong-Gook opened the scoring with Lee Jae-Sung adding a second goal ten minutes into the second-half. Leonardo came off the bench to add a third for Jeonbuk in injury time. Suwon kept up their pursuit of the leaders with a one-nil win over Incheon courtesy of a Santos goal in the fortieth minute. Pohang climbed to third with a two-one win over Seongnam ending a run of four straight draws. A last minute goal by Server Djeperov earned Ulsan a point away at Jeju. Ulsan took the lead in that match before two quick-fire goals by Fernando Karanga gave Jeju the advantage. Djeperov’s late goal meant that the game finished two-a-piece. Daejeon picked up their twelfth point of the season with a one-all draw at Jeonnam, with Busan and Gwangju played out a goalless draw to complete the weekend’s fixtures. K-League Challenge leaders Sangju lost their second match in a row, with Bucheon beating them by two goals to one. Neither Suwon, nor Daegu could take advantage of Sanju’s slip up with the former losing three-two to Anyang while Daegu drew one-all with bottom-placed Chungju.
