K-League Champions Jeonbuk Motors looked like they would be leaving the Steelyard with all three points after Lee Dong-gook smashed a half-volley past Shin Hwa-yong midway through the second half. However, a reckless lunge by Kim Chang-soo meant that the away side had to see out the final few minutes with ten-men, and Shim Dong-woon capitalized on that weakness with a sharp shot on the turn finding the bottom corner for his sixth goal of the season.
FC Seoul required a late goal of their own to get past Jeonnam Dragons. A last minute penalty taken by Adriano gave Seoul the two-one win down in Gwangyang. Seongnam’s bright start continued; their three-two win over hapless Incheon was enough to propel them to the top of the table at this early stage. Korean international Hwang Ui-jo scored twice to give Seongnam a commanding lead, but Incheon pegged the away side back with a Song Je-heon penalty and a goal by Kevin Oris. Incheon only managed to stay level for two minutes however, before Tiago Alves grabbed his fourth goal of the campaign to give Seongnam all three points.
Suwon Bluewings drew yet again, this time sharing the points with Jeju United. All the goals came in the final twenty minutes of the match with Kwon Chang-hoon opening the scoring for Suwon before Lee Kwang-seon and Mercelo Toscano turned the game around. Kwon Chang-hoon got his second of the match, and fourth in three games, to equalize for the Bluewings. Their cross-town rivals also drew, with Lee Seung-hyun equalizing at the death against Sangju Sangmu. Ulsan picked up a second win on the bounce, with goals from Kim Chi-gon and Lee Jeong-hyup giving them a two-nil win over Gwangju.
