Park Chu-Young’s third goal of the season gave FC Seoul the lead over Jeonbuk just before half time. Kim Chi-Woo made it two nil before Lee Dong-Gook got a goal back for the home team. The result extends FC Seoul’s unbeaten run, and moves them up to fifth place, which could conceivably become second place if they win their game in hand against bottom club Daejeon on Wednesday. Jeonbuk’s defeat means that they have now gone three matches without a win in the league. However, Suwon failed to take advantage of their latest slip-up as they themselves were defeated one-nil by Gwangju. Two goals by Go Mu-Yeol gave Pohang a two-nil win over Seongnam, a result that moved them up to third in the table. Yang Dong-Hyeon scored his sixth goal of the season to give Ulsan the lead over Jeju, a penalty from Kim Shin-Wook early in the second half gave the home team a two-nil lead which they kept for the remainder of the game. Cheonnam Dragons beat Incheon two-one courtesy of goals from Lee Jong-Ho and Mislav Orsic with Kevin Oris getting a goal for Incheon. The bottom two sides, Busan and Daejeon, played out a goalless draw in the weekend’s other game. In the K-League Challenge, Suwon City took advantage of Eland’s week off by winning three-two against Goyang to reclaim second place. Sangju Sangmu extended their lead at the top with a one-nil win over Bucheon.
